The community has a population of just under 60,000. We offer numerous arts, cultural, outdoor and entertainment activities. International Airport can get you anywhere in the country. Live in a family oriented community with a low crime rate, affordable housing and an average commute time of 12 minutes or less. 100% OP Office based position that has 2500 patients from an intact, basically "pure" practice because the previous Physician did not accept Psych problems, drug problems etc. The practice is 10% Peds, 60% Medicare and 30 % Blue Cross Blue Shield. Hospital employment model, the payors do not really matter. Hospitalists cover Hospital Call issues if the Physicians turn their patients over to them. We presently have 10 Physicians working as FP's; the others are Hospitalists. Our multi-specialty group currently has 3 Family Practitioners, with a support staff of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. 20-25 patients are seen each day per doctor. Expectation is 36 patient contact hours/week. 10 to 12 hour shifts/flexible. No OB. Compensation. Employment is offered through the hospital. Base salary negotiable, about $185 for a new hire.
